Her indigenous people are being re-educated to join the craze of greed and ignorance, or else succumb. We must save and treasure, what is still left.

We should not stop mining in Palawan because it contributes much to our economy through royalties and many are given jobs from it.To those rice farmers who oppose it, you can plant your ricefield other root crops in like camote,corn and others.It does not mean humans will survive only by eating rice.Root crops and corn are more nutritious than rice.Look at Australia, it is progressive because they maximize their mining potential and they do not eat rice.To those who are in tourist spot business there, you are only the ones that benefit from it.How about other countrymen who will lose some government services because it lose royalties from mining there.Many say Palawan will lose beauty because of mining , it can be restored by planting trees when mining is already over there.Remember Ninoy Aquino saying that “The Filipino is worth dying for” because the Philippines still have many untapped resources.Yes to Mining in Palawan!!

sa pananaw ko po,kaya cguro nilagay ni Lord ang mga minerals sa ilalim ng lupa para manatiling sumuporta sa lupa. Katulong ng mga minerals ang mga puno para pigilan ang pag guho ng lupa..ngayon.. kung mawawala na ang mga minerals na nagsisilbing foundation at kinaingin na ang mga magagandang puno.. ang magiging resulta po talaga ahy land slide.. in terms of earthquake, wala ng makakapigil o makaka-counterattack sa mga sobrang lakas na shock waves dahil wala na ang mga high tensile strength metals such as gold.. at kaya cguro madaming gold d2 sa Pinas kac malapit tayo sa Ring Of Fire, kung lilindol madaling uyugin, pero dahil sa madami tayong ginto, ehh ma le-lessen ang pag uyug ng lupa.. cguro kaya ang alkas ng earthquake sa Japan kac baka naubos na nila ang mga Gold nila.. hmmm.. sa bagay.. pero basta.. i’ve been to palawan…traveld by plane from coron to puerto princesa, view from d top is AMAZING, virgin forest….so pls say no to mining in palawan…be reminded of the flash floods that happened and will always be happening in some municipalities in our country, coz of deforested mountains…again and again, NO TO MINING IN PALAWAN!!!!!

Di pa ako nakakapunta ng Palawan. But we’re planning to have a vacation there. Even di ko pa ito nakikita ng personal, nakita ko naman na ito sa mga pictures. Sa tingin ko it’s the most amazing place here in the Philippines. And our duty as Filipino citizens is to protect our environment. I Also think that its one fo the most fantastic tourist spots. We should stop the mining and fight as one. We are living in one country, we have the same nationality and we have an obligation to protect it.

since i was a little child, i want to make better ways to improve the place i am living with. but since i am young, i can’t do anything. but, by merely signing up, i feel better now since i know i helped. i wish that this beautiful place, palawan, will still to be the wonderful paradise to live with.

There are many Philippine resources which are untouch.. One of this is the nature of Palawan. I hope and pray that these can be leave untouch. Siguro in 20 years if we will not save our forest, natural resources, minerals… Wala nang maganda sa Pilipinas… Wag naman sana maging mukhang pera, although kailangan talaga ang pera but not the untouch and virgen forest. Mag tira naman ang mga investors. I know mga Filipinos rin ang humihikayat sa mga investor. MAAWA NAMAN KAYO SA MGA ANAK, or APO NINYO…. ANO pa ang maiiwan sa sunod mong lahi… BATO, LAHAR, LASON……. ?

btw, please have a research about rio tuba in palawan so that you will have an idea how many hectares are mined in palawan. and include also the community so that you will know how mining help their lives. you can use google earth if you want.

We should save Palawan because when I went there I saw so many kinds of animals and flowers. The beaches were clean, the sand is white, the ocean was clear it all felt like paradise. We should start now before anything happens. This is one of the beautiful places left in the Philippines so we should protect it.

Mining has always been a present since before. It is the basic way or form of getting minerals and other objects underground. It is not actually bad since we get our furniture, materials and wealth from there. It also attracts investors from other countries. The problem only is that it is “Over-Mining” if there is any word such as that and also the improper procedure and materials when mining. But we should stop mining already or at least lessen and regulate it. If we continue mining, all our resources will be lost. We will lack mineral/ underground resources. Mining kills a lot of living things including people, like what happened in the spilling of mercury in Boac River. A lot died and currently a lot is still infected with the internal sickness. The environment is also affected, we remove nutrients from the soil and we need to destroy the surface before we can mine. Especially in Palawan, our province is in Palawan. Palawan is such a beautiful place because that place, you can experience nature. Among the regions or provinces in the Philippnes, Palawan is the richest, not in wealth or economy but nature and environment. It is the last places where we can experience nature. Sadly, Puerto Princessa is an urban city already. So our family built two houses for our families in there but far from Puerto Princessa. Tourists from other countries visit Palawan. And even people from Metro Manila go to Palawan just to experience nature. We travel 1 hour going to Puerto Princessa but Puerto Princessa is not filled with nature anymore. We need to travel 6-7 more hours on a rocky and dusty road just to reach our province where there is really nature. We own a land in there, everything is free. Swim anytime, eat anytime as long as you fish and everything is free. We have an open lot filled with trees, we even have Narras and lots of them (last checked 3-5 years ago) but last summer, our family visited and the biggest Narra tree we have is not there anymore. 3-5 years ago, Palawan is filled with green mountains but now either they’re naked or they’re not yet there no more. Palawan is our pride, it is one of the last places with the abundant environment and nature. If we continue using its last resources especially mining, I am afraid that Palawan won’t last long. Everybody can help, from young to old. Let us all save Palawan now. If not now, when? If not you, who? Mabuhay Philippines ) ^_^

i have been to palawan last september 28 2011, together with my 31 other colleagues. i appreciate the extreme beauty and environmental preservation done by the people of the island. It is a nice place,a much more better place or city from any other urbanized areas in the Philippines because of its rich natural resources and relaxing environment filled with trees and other free creatures roaming in the forest.I am amazed by how they were able to take care of their environment despite the development that comes with their progress.As a tourist and as a FILIPINO,i am proud of such beautiful place and rich wealth that the island enjoys.I admire the people of Palawan regarding the discipline and the love they give and commit to preserve nature.Truly Palawan is the PHILIPPINE’s last frontier!!!I am from Manila but i want to tell every Filipino and everyone out there even foreigners,LET US FIGHT FOR NATURE!!!!!Fight for the preservation of the Philippine’s last frontier!!!!NO TO MINING!!!!!!FILIPINOS UNITE!!!!!SHOW YOUR LOVE FOR NATURE AND IN PRESERVING OUR MOTHERLAND’s WEALTH!!!!NO TO MINING IN PALAWAN!!!!Do not be afraid of politicians backing mining projects in Palawan,a corrupt,greedy and selfish politician with armed goons is no match for a UNITED people fighting for a cause!!!!Say no to MINING!!!!!NO TO MINING IN PALAWAN!!!!!!!!!

Mas pinili nila yun kasi narealize din nila yung pwedeng maging effect ng prev work nila. Sana yung nagmimina jan ngayon, maisip din lahat ng possible effects. DON’T RUIN PALAWAN.
